This painting was derived from a photo I took in 1995 on a road trip to Florida from California.  We stopped  over night at a bed and breakfast in Breaux Bridge, LA. It was Christmas time and the kids fished off the back deck in the bayou.

This is the town of Santa Ynez, CA.  The view from the airport.  The photo I used as a reference and the sketch were originally done in 1984.  I have painted this before.  This is the best one so far.  I like to paint a subject again and again in different ways.  I learn more each time I paint the same scene and each one is different.
